The European State Aid Law Quarterly has the honour to announce the winners of this year’s EStAL PhD Award. We had received a multitude of submissions based on elaborate PhD theses of which the Jury has awarded two articles with the first prize: ‘Convergence of the Analysis of National Tax Measures under the EU State Aid Rules and the Fundamental Freedoms’ by Rita Szudoczky and ‘The Applicability and Application of the Market Economy Investor Principle’ by Małgorzata Agnieszka Cyndecka.
The 2nd prize goes to Juan Jorge Piernas López’ article ‘The Evolving Nature of the Notion of Aid under EU Law’ and the 3rd prize to Fernando Pastor Mechante’s article ‘The Role of Competitors in the Enforcement of State Aid Law’. […]
Amidst the multitude of submissions we have received, only six manuscripts were nominated to be evaluated by our distinct Jury Members. We are delighted to publish them in the European State Aid Law Quarterly.
